  • Covers: Rental housing in West New York other than exempt structures.
  • Exemptions: Motels/hotels; owner-occupied 2-4 family dwellings; certain commercial buildings with up to 3 residential units where owner resides; premises newly constructed (construction commenced after Oct 1, 1995); condo/co-op units rented on or after Aug 1, 1995 with base rent over $1,000; units with approved rental agreements under Ord. 1461; substantially rehabilitated buildings.
